I chose climate action for my SDGs topic. Environmental protection and community involvement and volunteering for my TCEs topic. The reason why I chose these is because motorcycles are really a very convenient transportation in Taiwan. When everyone rides them regardless of distance, it can cause a lot of damage to the environment. Through the first image, I want to show the public our daily lifestyle is causing damage to the environment. It will even make our planet worse if everyone thinks that our own behavior won’t cause such a serious problem. What’s more, excessive carbon dioxide emissions can cause global warming, which will let the temperature rise. People will not be able to survive because of the extreme heat. Moreover, crops we eat everyday will also be affected.
創作動機
To avoid such incidents from happening, we can reduce our carbon footprint by prioritizing bicycles, walking, or taking public transportation more often when we go out. The ideal blueprint for a sustainable Taiwan that I think of is when people walk on the street, they see their neighbors also walking and biking to protect the environment. They greet each other with a smile because they know they are working together to make the environment a better place. This not only protects the environment, but also achieves community participation.
心得與反思
Thanks for this AI postcard design competition, which made me realize the importance of environmental protection through my own works. There is only one Earth, and I hope to use both of my images to raise the public awareness of climate change. I hope we can work together to protect and care for it.
