作品英文描述

The first piece shows water scarcity and marine pollution making it impossible for marine life to survive symbolizing the misery faced by wildlife due to loss of habitat, the destruction of climate, uncontrolled fires due to the destruction of the ozone layer and the smoke in the forests.
The second painting depicts a beautiful vision of sustainable living. The painting shows two children using eco-cups and riding bicycles on a pristine beach while collecting Bowtie bottles. In the background is a lush forest, a clean beach with signs banning mining and plastic, and in the distance wind turbines using renewable energy to protect the environment, showing a harmonious balance between human activity and nature conservation.

創作動機

The idea for the first image comes from a series of climatic and environmental problems that have occurred frequently in Taiwan during the summer months in recent years, such as water shortages, limited water supply, and degradation of coastal coral reefs, which have had a dramatic impact on reservoir levels and offshore life, the long-term deterioration of the climate that has wreaked havoc with the atmosphere, and the consequences of the direct sunlight hitting the earth that has led to the massive evaporation of water resources, and the inability to extinguish forest fires. This is a dire warning of the consequences of continued environmental degradation and climate change, and urges people to take immediate action to mitigate these effects. The second image prohibits the littering of Bowtie bottles and the logo banning mining, the use of eco-cups by children, and the government’s large-scale utilization of renewable wind energy, a series of environmental initiatives that give a glimpse into the future of a healthier planet due to positive environmental management and sustainable technology. Both works aim to stimulate reflection and encourage action by showing the dire consequences of the different ways in which humans interact with the environment.

心得與反思

The creative process behind these artworks, deepening my understanding of the pressing issues surrounding climate change and environmental sustainability. Reflecting on the first piece evoked sadness in me, thinking about the water shortages that often occur during the summer months, and made me realize the need for immediate action to address the environmental crisis. The second piece fills me with hope and optimism that adopting sustainable practices will positively help the environment. These contrasting sentiments reinforced my continued use of measures such as bicycling and eco-friendly mugs in my daily life. In addition, these artworks strengthened my determination to continue to use art as a medium to convey important environmental messages and to engage the public in environmental issues such as the future climate and environment of the planet.
