作品英文描述

I try to depict a visual exploration of Taiwan’s coastal beauty in the first image, highlighting the pristine shores of Penghu Islands. The illustration captures the intrusive presence of human-induced ocean pollution such as plastic waste and debris. It encourages viewers to think about the delicate balance of marine ecosystems and the collective responsibility to protect our oceans.
The second image focuses on the products of the Marine Waste Recycling Alliance, symbolizing that we cannot only protect the ocean through beach cleanups but also create handicrafts through recycling and regeneration, showcasing the concept of harmonious coexistence between humans and nature.
I believe my artworks could increase public awareness of marine conservation, encourage more people to participate in ocean protection actions, promote the development of marine waste recycling opportunities, and draw a hopeful blueprint for Taiwan’s sustainable development through the transmission of postcards.

創作動機

The first image is inspired by the personal experiences during beach cleanup activities in Penghu Islands years ago. It serves as a poignant reminder that marine pollution is not just a individual issue but a global urgency for environmental conservation since the wastes came from different countries and places.

The second image is inspired by the “2023 Taiwan International Marine and Fisheries Industry Exhibition,” aimed at showcasing the achievements of the Marine Waste Recycling Alliance and raising public awareness of recycled marine products. The event strengthens the resource integration and promotes the activities of the Marine Waste Recycling Alliance in diverse ways, advocating for the results of recycling efforts.

Thus, I hope the artwork serves as a powerful call to action. It could inspire people to take tangible steps towards a cleaner, more sustainable future for our planet’s precious marine heritage.

心得與反思

Participating in the competition was truly rewarding because it provide an opportunity for me to use the AI image generation software by inputting English commands. AI generators have become popular due to their ability to produce high-quality images within a short period of time. As a designer, I believe we could make good use of them for design inspiration. Hence, this experience not only ignited my passion for creativity but also broadened my design skills so I could use AI as one of my design tool for my career.

Additionally, the competition introduced a English writing and allowed me to express my thoughts and feelings more precisely. It can improve my English proficiency and learn to express my viewpoints effectively.

Moreover, the competition deepened my understanding of Taiwan’s current affairs and policies, especially in marine environmental protection. I realized the significance of sustainable development and individual responsibility in environmental conservation.

Overall, this competition provided an valuable opportunity for personal and professional growth. It enhanced my skills on using AI generators, improved my English writing, and increased my awareness of Taiwan’s efforts towards sustainable development.
