作品英文描述

The Qigu Wetlands in Tainan, Taiwan, are vital for migratory birds and biodiversity. However, they face significant challenges due to climate change and human activity, such as extreme weather and industrial development, which threaten the wetland’s habitats. Restoring the wetlands requires a comprehensive approach, focusing on natural recovery, reducing human interference, and improving water quality. This effort needs collaboration from governments, experts, and communities, promoting environmental education and sustainable practices. Learning English plays a crucial role in this process. It helps access international research and strategies for wetland protection, enabling collaboration with global organizations and sharing successful conservation efforts. By improving my English, I can stay informed on the latest environmental methods and contribute to spreading awareness about the importance of wetland conservation. English serves as a bridge for sharing knowledge and advocating for global efforts to restore and protect wetlands like Qigu.

創作動機

The ecological restoration of Qigu Wetlands faces significant challenges due to global climate change and human activities, making me acutely aware of the importance of protecting our natural environment. Through this process, I have come to understand the global focus on environmental conservation, with English as the universal language to access international environmental information. By learning English, I can more effectively read academic reports, explore successful global wetland restoration practices, and share Qigu’s conservation achievements. Additionally, proficiency in English will allow me to participate in volunteer activities with international environmental organizations, becoming an advocate for environmental issues. I hope that by enhancing my English skills, I can bring Qigu Wetlands’ conservation experience to the global stage, while also learning from advanced global wetland preservation practices. Ultimately, I aim to contribute to the ecological well-being of my hometown and make a positive impact on environmental sustainability.

心得與反思

In this AI postcard activity, I learned how to use AI for drawing, which was an exciting first-time experience with new technology. Through this process, I also gained a deeper understanding of the ecological importance of Qigu Wetlands. We discussed the impacts of excessive development and climate change on the environment, making me aware of the significant harm these factors inflict on our surroundings. As Qigu Wetlands serve as an essential stopover for migratory birds, the stability of its ecosystem is crucial for various species. However, pollution and damage from human activities have made this land increasingly fragile. During the production process, we used English for research and explanations, which highlighted the importance of learning English. Environmental protection is a global issue, and knowing English can help me access international resources and learn from other countries’ ecological conservation experiences. Overall, this activity not only taught me new skills but also strengthened my commitment to environmental protection and emphasized the value of English for future development.
