作品英文描述

The first artwork portrays the severe marine crisis Taiwan is currently facing. In the image, Taiwan’s island is surrounded by the ocean, but the waters are filled with garbage and waste, while coral reefs are gradually bleaching due to pollution. The distant city is shrouded in industrial smoke, symbolizing the environmental pressure brought about by economic development. This piece uses stark contrasts to remind us of the critical state of marine ecosystems and the urgent need to address these issues and take action.
The second artwork depicts a future filled with hope, showcasing a vision of sustainable development in Taiwan. The scene is teeming with natural vitality, with a Formosan black bear peacefully living in a rich ecological environment. In the distance, wind turbines and solar panels represent the widespread adoption of green energy, while Taipei 101 stands tall, symbolizing the harmonious balance between technology and nature. The bright and warm colors convey a sense of hope and a promising future.
These two artworks create a striking contrast—one highlights a crisis, while the other depicts thriving life. Together, they call on everyone to take action and work towards building a greener, more sustainable future for Taiwan!

創作動機

Motivation for the Theme:
In our second-year general education course, one of the classes focused on marine conservation. The teacher shared a lot about the ecosystems within the marine environment and highlighted the stark contrast between the beauty of marine life and the damage caused by economic development. This contrast left a deep impression on me.

Additionally, frequent news reports about marine ecological issues caught my attention. Inspired by these experiences, my team and I decided to create AI-generated postcards centered around marine conservation and environmental protection.

心得與反思

The ocean is the source of life on Earth and an essential part of our daily lives. However, it’s facing numerous challenges like plastic pollution, overfishing, and ocean acidification. These issues don’t just affect marine life—they directly impact our lives and our future. At the end of the day, protecting the ocean means protecting ourselves.

The good news is that each of us can contribute to ocean conservation. Simple actions like reducing single-use plastics, choosing sustainably sourced seafood, or participating in beach cleanups can make a real difference. Additionally, education and policy changes are crucial because meaningful change can only happen when more people understand the importance of the ocean.

What we can do individually might seem small, but when combined, these small changes can lead to a significant impact. If we’re willing to take action, we can help make the ocean cleaner and healthier, ensuring that future generations inherit a planet full of life and vitality.
