作品英文描述
This image portrays a Taiwan tea plantation suffering from the overuse of pesticides. The vibrant green fields, typically seen as a symbol of health, are shrouded in a toxic, hazy atmosphere, representing the hidden dangers of pesticide contamination. Workers, donned in protective gear, are spraying chemicals over the crops, while the distant landscape reflects the widespread pollution. In the foreground, a teacup—once a symbol of warmth and comfort now reveals pesticide residues, subtly hinting at the silent risks within everyday tea. This design challenges the viewer to question the safety of the food they consume and raises awareness about the long-term effects of pesticide overuse.
This image 2 envisions a transformed Taiwan tea plantation where organic farming practices have replaced harmful pesticides. The once-polluted skies are now clear, and the fields are thriving with vibrant, pesticide-free tea plants. Workers, equipped with eco-friendly tools, are tending to the crops using natural fertilizers and organic pest control methods, creating a harmonious and sustainable environment.
創作動機
The motivation behind this piece is to expose the often overlooked but significant dangers posed by pesticide overuse in Taiwan’s tea plantations. While pesticides are commonly used to ensure high crop yields, their long-term effects on both human health and the environment are rarely discussed. . By showing workers in protective gear and depicting the discomfort of a person, I wanted to emphasize the human and ecological costs of pesticide dependency. This piece aims to raise awareness about the need for safer, more sustainable farming methods that prioritize the well-being of consumers and the environment. This piece was inspired by the vision of a sustainable, pesticide-free future for Taiwan’s tea industry. It seeks to highlight the positive change that organic farming can bring to both the environment and public health. I wanted to present an alternative to the toxic agricultural practices that currently dominate the industry, showing that farming can be both productive and safe.
心得與反思
This piece was inspired by the vision of a sustainable, pesticide-free future for Taiwan’s tea industry. Through this artwork, I wanted to present an alternative to the toxic agricultural practices that currently dominate the industry, showing that farming can be both productive and safe. The clear skies, thriving plants, and active wildlife represent the benefits of organic practices that foster biodiversity and a healthier ecosystem. The fresh cup of organic tea symbolizes the pure, healthy options available when we prioritize both human health and environmental care. The slogan, “Organic Tea, Pure Health,” reinforces the idea that choosing organic not only supports a healthier lifestyle but also contributes to the long-term well-being of the planet. This work is a call to action for both consumers and producers to embrace practices that protect our health, support sustainable agriculture, and promote a cleaner, greener world.
